Intelligent Lebanese Orgyman. He woos
me into doing things for him - good
things. He can sing (philo-song), joke
(philo-joke), and dance (philo-dance)
and he has a cell phone (just like all
the other yuppies), which makes him OK
in my book. Anyone who can deal with
my being late all the time for 8 years,
is OK in my book. Why, he even once
peeled me off of a bar couch and
carried me up three flights of stairs -
vomiting along the way - now that's
friendship.
till I'd know him about 5 years I think,
everyone at the time called him Philo.
Of course, I was usually drunk and he
was busy being really funny, so that
might explain me missing it. Or maybe
it was because if I knew his name, I
would have POWER over heaven and earth.
Power to RULE and DESTROY. Nah it was
probably the booze.
couch in her run-down student
apartment. I'm sure we ate something I
considered quite exotic at the time.
He led the trend of shaving his head
and I was intoxicated by the roundness
of his skull. We sipped on drinks with
pine nuts in the bottom. Later on,
he'd be privy to my numerous college
flashings at parties which I now
realize must have really left an
impression on him (oy vey, the naivete
of youth, no?). Philo reminds me of
apple tobacco, kitchen beads, cilantro,
eye-glasses, Arab rythyms, Suzi &
Zeina, and dinner parties. Here's to
long-lost connections, my friend. Eat
some cheese for me!!
