I just recently moved from Asheville where I was pursuing all things rural; growing my own food, canning and freezing, living the good life in the country. I'm now in a much more urban setting here in Austin, so I'm going to need to adjust. I'm concerned about the environment, and have spent many years working to create policies to promote more sustainable development. I write poetry, love drinking coffee, and when they tell me I'm dying from some horrible disease I'll start smoking again.

I'm looking for professional contacts to network with in the public relations, non-profit, political consulting world. I'm also looking to make some new friends here in Austin. I have a dog named Solen and he would like to meet some new dog friends here as well.
