      • Wilder and I met in a hobo's dream
        where we used to jump boxcars and
        smoke dandelion wine. There were
        naked birds everywhere and all the
        men had erections. It never rained
        and we always slept on the floor. We
        ate burritos for breakfast and took
        long trips to nowhere. One day a
        man from Eire came to take her
        away. She travelled forever and a day
        and then, because she's god's
        original cherub, she left him in a City
        full of Angels so he would always be
        taken care of. Now she's back in the
        city of brother's she loves. The
        hobo's still sleeping. I hope he never
        wakes up.

        but wilder makes me happy and
        she's not too far so i'll shut up. but i
        have a correction: wilder and i do not
        have an imaginary friend...apparently
        he is real but lives far far away.

        winter my new job is to take over for
        our imaginary friend who has since
        moved away for dumb reasons. how can
        an imaginary friend move away?...i
        dunno. wilder is a badass with a huge
        heart and can knit a christmas gremlin
        like no ones business. she shows me
        the way of the "PT," both under and
        above ground...and for that i am
        grateful. now that i know where she
        lives, she's not going to be able to
        get rid of me. i like wilder so much
        that i will never make her listen to
        any of my cds...not on purpose at
        least. let's get some whiskey!
