dorm room at UWM, where he, Ben
Rosenberg, Curt Egle and I had all met
up to go to Rustic. On the way I got my
first bong ever.
Then, later on that year, I was talking
to John about how I wished that I could
find a PC program that would let me use
the computer and it's sound card as a
sampler and sequencer. And John said,
"haven't you heard of fasttracker?"
When I was living in Bonde's basement,
John lent me his parents' computer
(unbeknownst to his parents) so that I
could put together my first tracks.
Other memories: John fishing out on
nitrous and impaling his eye on a Coke
bottle; John, Bonde and I laughing
hysterically and singing along to
Laibach videos.
did go through 2 bottles of
vodka...yeah. I have never seen a
better version of Culture Club's "do
you really want to hurt me" done
karaoke flavor with remote control in
hand at 5am. Now that I think about
it, thank god my kitchen table is
still together and that Bret did not
come over with Fussy to try and bite
your face off...could have been ugly!
gives?
for over 10 years. when will you give up?
everybody who persoanlly knows him gets
a johnsin, even the women, which is
unusual and even, by christian
standards, miraculous. for some reason
Johnsin has chosen a sad puppy
expression for his photo, but i have
seen his awesome smile, as beer spewed
from his nose while laughing so hard
that he pleaded for mercy and cessation
from the responsible banter and jokes,
which are the norm for this man of the
decks of steel and the hippest d & b
this side of Winnipeg. bless his Johnsin
and his Eurotour. may he prosper and
stay intoxicated. - LeFuk
tape!!!
John was still an innocent little boy.
But it wasn't long before he was
corrupted by the rest of us, and so the
ride started. And look at him now.
All grown up, and definately way cooler
than the rest of us!
going walkabout and hearing discos
revenge on virtually every sound system
in the camp at exactly the right moment
as we walked past... and being donnie
and marie, but i'm not sure i ever
really got that joke... you're way
hotter than donnie and i'm sure as fuck
180 times sexier than that bitch
marie... but whatever...
half as cool as John... P.S. When do
I get a job in Amsterdam too?
Netherlands to get a clearer
perspective.
