Elisa was the very first person I met in
Providence. She was sitting in a
coffeeshop; we walked in, and I
thought, "hmm, this place has

unabashed co-conspiriting
trannychasing, interrogative outbursts
("but why a camel?"), bumper-sticker
business endeavors, middle of the day
sex ed queries, and about a million

universe...more comfortable in her own
skin than anyone I have ever met. She is
the most steadfast, loyal, loving person I
know. Honestly-- where would any of us
