Aquarius

As I sit and wonder what makes me tick,
The times I get well after been a little sick,
The road of life seems so long and dark,
Strength and hope shone by god’s ark,
Days become months,
Months become years,
Years turn into a lifetime,
As a child you are thought how to do things,
When you get old, it is time to use your own wings,
Every step you take, makes the next all the more tough,
Sometimes fall, sometimes fail and huff and puff,
Things once done can’t be undone,
Some battles lost, other’s won,
At each turn in your life someone special comes along,
Affects your life in a wonderful way, then all gone,
Loneliness comes and sets in, eats away at the soul,
Everything gets dull, the hearts turns into a big hole,
The darkness that set in does not want to go,
Your inner voice had enough, asks you to let go,
Hope slowly seeps in and fills the mind,
The love of friends and family too shine,
Every birthday I feel so lucky to see another day,
To give and get love ,good things to hear and say.
There is a reason why things are the way they are,
I have realized it in my life’s journey so far,
You can rebel, you can curse, you can cry,
But what matter’s is the strength to try.
To change the things I can,
Accept the things I cannot.
