I think that her name was San-dhy-a

        And talked kinda rude
And crapped in my mom's taqueria

      • I first met Sandhya on a *hellish* service project in West VA our sophomore year, where we bonded over German language and a collective suffering in the face of our oppressors (i.e., the senior track team). We later reconnected our senior year (appropriately enough, on the senior steps at Bryn Mawr) when she asked me for a light. I should have known then what a debauched lifestyle we would share together, pondering together the intricacies of midnight library invasions and expatriate living over cigarettes and wine... Though I only started to really get to know her my senior year, I am grateful to have found such a kindred spirit (and here I wax on the maudlin): besides being a brilliant scholar of language, Sandhya is a down-to-earth person with a great sense of humour who shares my laid-back attitude towards chronological delineations. Plus, she's really hot...

      • Sandhya keeps begging me to go to
female strip clubs with her.... Her
        other hobbies include: speaking Old
Norse, dressing up like a zombie, and
chugging beer. Maybe it's the beer
that makes no one believe that she
isn't American, or at least German....
        Looking forward to more passionate
dancing with you at some point in the
        future....

      • Sandhya kicks ass! She knows a lot of
bad words in English, and is always
eager to learn more in German. Also, she
kicks ass in the literal sense, so it's
a lot of fun to go (e.g.) Jon-bashing
with Sandya. She's cool, and we have
very much in common, like a preference
for beer. Well, if I didn't like guys
better, we all know what would
        happen........
Oh! I should add that she's actually a
very shy person behind that extrovert
shell - and I love her for it!

      • Sandhya has an amazing aptitude for
weight training. Her triceps ripple when
she dips, and her biceps bulge (in a
feminine way) when she chins-up. I'm
        looking forward to many future
encounters with Sandhya and a barbell.

      • Sandhya is my friend! And now for some
        greek history:

Greece entered World War I in 1917 on
the side of the Allies. After the war,
Greece took part in the Allied
occupation of Turkey, where many Greeks
still lived. In 1921, the Greek army
attacked from its base in Smyrna (now
Izmir), and marched toward Ankara. The
Greeks were defeated by Turkish forces
led by Mustafa Kemal (later Ataturk)
and were forced to withdraw in the
summer of 1922. Smyrna was sacked by
the Turks, and more than 1.3 million
Greek refugees from Turkey poured into
        Greece, creating enormous challenges
for the Greek economy and society and
        effectively ending the Megali Idea.

      • sandhya's the real deal, she has
an "edge". if you invite her to a new
year's eve party, she'll say "cool, so
sometime late december?" & look great
while doing it. she is my favorite
person to cook with in the whole wide
world, & also a perfect road trip
buddy except when a butterfly is stuck
to your windshield. i admire her in
every way. thank god i didn't prevent
her from graduating that time i
skipped yoga when i was supposed to
sign her in. she is such an agreeable
person i couldn't have lived with the
        guilt.

      • I know Sandhya. We are friends!

Did you know Sandhya won a silver
medal in the junior olympics for Judo
in 1996? You probably didn't know
that about her, because she's so
        modest.

      • Sandhya rarely (if ever) gets to work
on time, but we all still love her.
After all, she helps me decide whether
entities are generic and shares her
        gummi bears. Yum.

      • Once, when I was wandering through the
tumbleweeds of west philly, I happened
        upon someone who had accidentally
lassoed herself to a totem pole.
Luckily I had my Texan wits about me,
        and started teaching Sandhya everything
I know about lassoes in exchange for
Channa Masala. We've been friends ever
since. She also has a damn good German
        accent, ah tell you what.
