Time and time again, Bambu Spliff sets the stage and proceeds to burn it down with their original material that breathes the smoke of reggae. Bambu Spliff’s music defies precise categorization. Touching on jazz, soul, hip-hop, rock, blues—with reggae as the backbone of every song. Their music is influenced by a lot of artists such as the Marleys, Sting, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Morgan Heritage, BB King, Sade, Anita Baker, India Arie, Jack Johnson, James Taylor, Pink Floyd, The Roots, and even the Beetles. Bambu Spliff is here to bridge the gap of our ever so classified musical genres. Being compared to other bands, they may have big shoes to fill. But the talent, sound, and image of the band are everything you need for a successful equation in the music industry.
Bambu Spliff is Greggy Polo (rhythm guitar and vocals), Sunshine Redulla (vocals), Kneil Nangit (bass guitar), Ian Ching (drums), Richard “Itak” Sagarino (lead guitar), Marky Encallado (percussions), Geelrod Baba (keyboards), and Magno Aquino (saxophone). They have energetic and keep-you-moving performances with artistic transitions from song to song that will leave your body moving all night long in a positive way.
