About Me:
I laugh a lot. I like going to the movies, and I am willing to see nearly anything. I’m a very good listener. I will think about conversations and discussions and bring them up again weeks or months later. I love blueberries and persimmons. I see the sunrise almost every day. I like to play Hearts, Spades, and Scrabble, and I like learning new games. I like cooking. I am often embarking on small missions of self improvement. I like road trips. I like reading, and prefer non-fiction to fiction. I wonder about the nature of the universe and time. I walk in the woods a lot.

meet her for our date of going to the mall
to buy lipstick, i was greeted by
a) def leppard
b) while examining her outfit/lipstick
color scheme, the quote "i need to stop
dressing like the white stripes"
And I want it back.
She'll drive hours all over the NW, and
probably beyond, at all hours, to see your
band play its set in that tiny hall in that tiny
Oregon town. Or that big hall off Burnside.
Or in Tumwater. She is one of the vertebrae
in the backbone of what makes Olympia a
rockin' town and probably one of the
vertebrae closest to the cerebral cortex.
Yeah, I don't know anatomy very well but
you get it, right?
generous AND a great cook. Her annual birthday
bash is a TON of fun. Last week she made me an
amazing meal at her house, we played scrabble
and listened to holiday music. Great times. I start
to have withdrawls if I don't see Diana often
enough. She is the best listener. She has
incredible insight into the most complex (and
potentially embarassing) situations. I feel very
fortunate to count Diana as a friend. She is smart,
wickedly funny, kind and good. (and beautiful) xo
to practice writing - we could write
anything we liked, and while the journals
weren't graded, the teacher usually
wrote brief comments after each entry. I
recently came across my journal, and
found that rather than writing about
something interesting that happened to
me, I invariably drew pictures and
rambled about how much I loved my
friends. My teacher's comments
eventually belied her amusement and
frustration - toward the end of the
journal, in red pencil, were "OK, I GET it!
How about a story?"
I've long since lost touch with those
friends, and haven't kept a journal
recently - if I did, it wouldn't be hard at
all to remind myself on a daily basis how
much Diana's friendship means to me.
Her exuberance, wit, creativity,
resilience and compassion are rare
qualities to find in one person, and if
you're lucky enough to earn a friendship
with Diana, I suggest you get down and
thank your stars. Better yet, thank her. I
love you, Dian
I were to suddenly become a spunky
depression-era orphan with a strong
will and a heart of gold, I'd want
Diana to adopt me and become my
sidekick. Well I guess according to
formula my sidekick would have to be a
dog or a once-bitter old man, but
Diana would be so much more fun. Now
cue the tubas and roll credits!

site links? That's just the start. She
can drive 180 mph in rush hour traffic
without using her blinkers. She can
weave a cherry stem into a glow in the
dark wall tapestry with her tongue. She
can bluff God himself off of a full-
house. She can even cook oatmeal
cookies without using her hands, feet,
mind or soul. Diana is the all-time top
bi'nana of the bunch.
