i think the best way to sum steve up
is to relate that when he last
visited, he took a moment to observe
that i got fat. occasional tourette's
moments aside, steve is one of my best
friends - seriously, top five! - and
he's always been there for me at the
best and worst times. also, his
practical knowledge of politics
sometimes trumps my own, which i find
endlessly galling. he's a rare friend
and a good guy.
i first met steve interviewing him for
a job several years ago & thought he
was stand-offish. i was wrong. steve
turned out to be the funniest, easiest
guy to be around. he also turned out
to be a solid friend i have counted on
again & again. he's great-looking &
smart. i'm covinced he's the missing
jewish kennedy.
