I have stalled a great deal in writing this testimonial, because I know that to sum up this man in just a few words is to do little justice to who he really is. Below is my attempt to describe him. I have not covered all grounds, because if you meet him in person, you will realize that he is definitely more than the stuff that I have written below.

That he is a nice guy is such an understatement. I do agree that his obedience to and his high regard for his family, and his effortlessly polite manners account for his “niceness,” but I am surprised why many friends and acquaintances describe him only as such. He is more than nice, and there are certainly more interesting things about him that have eluded the watchful eyes and comments of people who think know him so well.

For one thing, he is “wonderboy.” He has this uncanny talent to multi-task, edit photos, make flash animations, spot bugs and lead a team. His superpowers extend way beyond the Global Edge office. He can lift things with ease and fix things in an instant. What I like best about him when he is in wonderboy mode is his upbeat attitude. His temper never runs short. He is always in control like all superheroes should be.

For another, he is a jack-in-the-box. While I would have like to use the term “prankster,” I decided against it since “prankster” exudes negative connotations. He “strikes” in the most unexpected moments and never ceases to spring more avant-garde surprises to follow through. He is always one step ahead, and deciphering a pattern from his surprises is almost always a lost cause. The least you can do when you’re with him is to be always prepared for the unexpected. (He is the boy scout he once was.)

Though I am tempted to smatter more, I will end this lengthy testimonial with one more description of him, one that few people rarely see beyond his serious facade. He is a clown – not someone you laugh at, but a man who makes you laugh… a man with a great sense of humor. He knows how to ease tension and brighten the day by cracking a joke or two. His jokes are neither rehearsed nor scripted; they’re spontaneous, covering anything as petty as weird mannerism and as serious as politics. As a bonus, he does really funny facial expressions and comical mouth movements. Laughter certainly is the best medicine, and this man knows it.

He, him, his – all these refer to just one man, my man, who also happens to be a superhero, a jack-in-the-box, a clown and more: Fritz Mahr E. Tangarorang. I just hope that when you meet him, after having read this testimonial, you will have much more to say about him... a lot more than just “nice” actually.
