Kai The Honu Who Didn't Know He Was Brave
by Mora Ebie
Illustrated by Mike Tackett
Kai is a little green turtle with a strong, sturdy shell. But that doesnt stop his overactive imagination from scaring the little honu. Kai watches as eels and sea monsters appear before his very eyes! Kai feels embarrassed as his friends laugh when it is revealed that the eels and monsters are just seaweed and coral. However, it is Kai who needs to save the day when a real danger presents itself. Is he brave enough to do it?
Mike Tacketts bright illustrations bring this heartwarming tale of courage to life.

Testimonials and Comments for Mora
She always had a smile, or kind word for
me. I think you ate a lot of salads and
fruit juices. Not anything like those
law or business students who yelled at
me if I rang up their purchase wrong.
The worst is when one of those MBA types
called me a soggy idiot. OK, so it isn't
easy on your aged fingers ringing up
hungry kids all day long. If only more
of our patrons could be as nice as Mora
and not hit us...it really isn't smart
to mistreat us who prepare your food!
whorish person i know. this is why
she is my friend.
said, "Dear Mora, you chicken-puking
whore! you have puke in your hair.
Love, Kim"
and i think that sums up our friendship
perfectly.

more than you...Makai misses you.
yes, sir, i do.
she knows a lot about stuff, and isn't
afraid to say so. Though she likes the
sports (whereas i could give a rat's
ass) her resonating voice echoes in my
brain in the most pleasant of ways. i
don't listen to the words but then
she'll start talking about other things
and i pick right up where we left off.
She also is a good drunk. Smootchies,
MO-mo!!!! Rar!!
my first encounter with miss mora.
well i learned a couple things from
her. First off i learned that she is
pretty liberal and i am pretty
conservative. but only norwegian tv
will really know her views. Second i
learned that Barry Bonds is the
greatest player in baseball, and Sammy
Sosa is a drug using bat corking bum.
finally i learned that mora starts off
slow when she is drinking but finishes
strong. i think if i had another drink
i might have been under the table...
but i made it through... with some
taunting of my manliness. So thank you
mora for the good time and the
wonderful hangover i have today. And
to all you dirty minded guys out there
like me when she talks about Beer and
Protein she means MEAT not what all you
sickos out there like me thought.
Cheers
than clowns and that's carneys, and
Donny Osmond. I was watching this
commercial with those damn Osbourne
kids drinking some carbonated beverage
(now with fruit flavor), and suddenly,
as if my worst nightmare was really a
daymare and within the scope of
reality, they turned into the
Osmonds. I mean the sister one,
Marie, isn't so bad. She's cheery and
whatnot but I get the sense that she
knows she's acting, and she knows we
know she's acting. Donny, on the
other hand, gives off this impression
like he really thinks he's fooling the
audience into thinking he's a
legitimately charming s.o.b. "Look at
me, I'm really happy! REALLY!" he
seems to say. Poor guy. That brings
up carneys, which actually, in
comparison, aren't so bad. Neither
are clowns for that matter. Okay, so
there are three things I truly hate in
this world: Donny Osmond, mean-
spirited people, improperly numbered
lists, and spiders. Did I mention how
cool Mora is? SO COOL! Like, the
coolest.
first met. Friends from the start, I
knew our friendship would go on and
on. Until one day, that cold and windy
day in June, when she gave me a
bracelet for my birthday, a bracelet
that had the words "Friends Forever:
Mora and Lindsay" engraved on it. My
name being Megan, I asked "Lindsay? Who
is Lindsay?" She quickly took the
bracelet away from me, knowing she had
made a mistake. She had given me a
bracelet that she had tried to give to
an old friend of hers. Well, needless
to say, her face was as red as the hot
African sun as she hurriedly sauntered
off along her merry way back to
Tahloolah County. She has never showed
her face around my town again. Keep
that bracelet, Mora, and may it forever
remind you of my ugly mug.
