Who I Want to Meet:
SEVEN PILLARS OF PSS-A.Y.O.S.
AYOS- Alliance of Youth On Service
A.Y.O.S. was founded within the lines of advancing and struggling for political science students' rights and welfare. Furthermore, A.Y.O.S. believes that student have a duty and obligation to be academically excellent and finish their education to serve the people.
Thus, A.Y.O.S. has principles can be summarized into three areas of advocacy: pro-student, pro-people, and academic excellence. They are further expanded on the A.Y.O.S. Seven Pillars, aptly called for they serve as the very foundations of A.Y.O.S.'s existence as an alliance of Political Science Students
1. A.Y.O.S.. believes in advancing and safeguarding Political Science students' rights and welfare directed towards the full development of the students' potential.
2. A.Y.O.S. believes and works for an education which is nationalistic, scientific and pro-people.
3. A.Y.O.S. believes that the University is a community of different sectors - students, academic and non-academic personnel, and community residents. Hence, A.Y.O.S. will work for multi-sectoral unity in addressing the issues and problems of a particular sector and the Political Science Society as a whole. Furthermore, A.Y.O.S. will support these sectors in advancing their rights and welfare.
4. A.Y.O.S. believes that the University is part and parcel of society: the university therefore has a direct responsibility to the Political Science Students. Hence the issues and problems confronting the nation is the concern of the Political Science studentry.
5. A.Y.O.S. believes in uniting with the all members of Political Science Society in the struggle to a truly independent, just, democratic and progressive Political Science Society.
6. A.Y.O.S. is committed to the active participation of the Political Science studentry in the students' pursuit for national sovereignty and genuine democracy.
7. A.Y.O.S. upholds the scholarly tradition in FEU and recognizes the importance of academic and intellectual competence in the pursuit of our nationalistic and democratic goals.
