Joel has been a neighbor of mine since
junior high -- until last year, when he
moved away. Though I could shower him
with adjectives, words cannot describe
Joel -- since he is the supreme of
contradictions. Only by example, can I
perhaps describe his enigmatic nature.
Two characteristics first come to mind
when I try to illustrate the fact.
First, Joel is a master of Nintendo's
Super Smash Brothers. Perhaps through
practice, or perhaps simply blessed with
natural "azn" gaming skills, Joel shows
the utmost agility in his movements. He
weaves and dodges, intercepting your
every move by use of a magical yo-yo. Of
course, the second characteristic that I
immediately recall runs contrary to this
seemingly inhuman skill. Though Joel
claims to be a blackbelt in tae kwon do
-- he has never shown any definitive use
of the ability. In all my encounters,
Joel resorts to the most unusual of
defensive tactics, as he purposefully
falls on the ground and wildly kicks the
air.
i've known joel forever! i can't even
remember how long it's been, he's my
dongseng for life. always been good
friends wit my bros, so i saw him
around alot. one good guy. extremely
intelligent, dedicated, driven,
musical, motivated, and caring. i miss
seein him around. when we gonna chill
joel??
