Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
We declare, pronounce and define that the doctrine which asserts that the Blessed Virgin Mary, from the first moment of her conception, by a singular grace and privilege of almighty God, and in view of the merits of Jesus Christ, Saviour of the human race, was preserved free from every stain of original sin is a doctrine revealed by God and, for this reason, must be firmly and constantly believed by all the faithful.
-Pope Pius IX (1854)
O Father,
you prepared the Virgin Mary
to be the worthy mother
of your Son.
…Help us by her prayers,
to live in your presence
without sin.
Amen.

St John Damascene 676-749. The Icon or Image Doctor, Feast Dec 4th.
St Damascene spent all his life under Moslem rule and, like all the doctors, had an extraordinary devotion to the Mother of God. It was reported that John received a total healing from a wound inflicted on him through the intercession of St. Mary.
Christians worldwide are greatly in debt to St John. His holy life and heroic courage is monumental. He defended and safeguarded the veneration of sacred images, statues and icons for us. His example provides us an opportunity to honor images of God everywhere.

St.Francis Xavier, apostle to Japan and India
Jesus asked, “What profit would there be for one to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?” (Matthew 16:26
He did not heed these words at once. They came from a good friend, Ignatius of Loyola, whose tireless persuasion finally won the young man to Christ.
He had preached and baptized in India, Southeast Asia, and Japan but was not to fulfill his dream of bringing the Gospel to China.
All of us are called to “go and preach to all nations” Matthew 28:19
Some are specially called to work for souls;
Our preaching is not necessarily on distant shores but to our families, our children, our husband or wife, our coworkers. And we are called to preach not with words, but by our everyday lives

Dec 1 anniversary of the death in 1916 of the great French explorer, the apostle to the Muslims – BLESSED CHARLES DE FOUCAULD.
Let us look at the saints& contemplate with them the One they spent their lives contemplating; not to imitate them but to imitate Jesus better
It was Nazareth that struck him the most deeply:
He wanted to follow a silent, poor and hard-working Jesus. He wanted to live Jesus' words in a literal way: 'When you are invited, go and sit in the lowest place' (Lk 14:10). He knew that Jesus himself had explained these words by living them first, he knew that even before dying on the Cross, naked and without possessions, Jesus had chosen the lowliest place in Nazareth.
CONCLUSION:
life of Nazareth could be led by All
