mutual initiation into this gang, The
Grooms. It was a tough night. We
were riding our bikes from the Bronx
to Coney Island from 8pm to 8am.
We navigated the Bronx with
Rosten's skills, got interviewed with
his connections, and met the sunrise
in style. Cheers Rosten!
lambchop, he went out to buy apples so
he could make himself a chutney to go
with it. his powers of concentration
are legendary. someday, when kendra
burns jr. does the documentary
on "power broker II, sanitation
warlord," I hope to be able to shed
some light on his humble beginnings as
a fresh, wide-eyed boy arriving in new
york, painting his ceiling peach as a
first mark of defiance, not knowing
how to take out the trash.

the humor at you. Dedicated to just
causes, which shows his humanistic
spirit. I have known him mainly
through his work partner who adores
him. Spending a lunch with him a week
or so ago made me feel guilty I have
not spent anywhere near enough time to
get at his deeper self. I love this
guy, and always have, nonetheless.
talented, cooler, taller even. Case
in point...I never appreciated Hall
and Oates until he showed me how.
Plus, he saved me from near insanity,
even recently.
recollecting the dramamine-in-georgia

incidents, but i suspect that he might
embarrass me by mentioning the pipas
incident. so i'll just state the
obvious: that he's first-class in the
most non-classist way possible. the man
rocks.

who's there when you need him.

His style is never played, uh, it's
always mod, so eat some baked scrod
he's probably a supergenius, but he
uses his powers for good. I laughed
harder than I ever thought I could
while watching the movie Silent Running
with him. That was laughing like you're
willing to die laughing. His presence
makes you think about your way of
thinking about things. Smart, Alert,
Skeptical, full of joy, musically
gifted, killer smile. #1.
yow! I mean, I'm sure he still is, but he lives
too far away for me to say for sure.
