reminds me of "the fonz"?...ah "the
fonz" ...rest in peace henry
winkler..R.I.P. indeed...threes company
will never be the same with out you!
up a nickname for him...but of course
I can't but it on here He He He.
But really he is such a cool
guy...even though I see him once ever
four years or so.... :]
can school you from showtunes to
hiphopabilly. Les is the homie,
holdin it down from D-town to H-
town...
My man Tiger be doing the ill
(seamless) blends but of course, he is
his worst critic. Keep killin on the
decks homie....and yes....when I become
famous, you can roll. P's
him with that Common t-shirt on! From
then on, I've felt as if I have found
my Texas soulmate. He was still
a "pseudo-businessman" back then,
working a 4 - midnight gig. I miss
those days, because his presence, made
my life more serene. But it's all to
the goody, because even now, when
months and days and many moons have
passed, I see him and we laugh and we
hug, and it feels as if we've never
missed a day together. What I
remember ... he loves peppermint tea
and likes peanut butter and jelly ...
but the peanut butter can't touch the
jelly. Luv u Les
residency and man, that guy has really
been getting some top notch records
since I left the "Big H". We used to
dj as a duo under the name "The Sound
Academy" before I moved to Austin. The
Sound Academy came in full effect on
the Jazzanova tip this past weekend.
I look foward to more Sound Academy dj
gigs with this fella-- playing all
that modern soulful shtufff. Plus,
Les keeps me current on pop culture
lingo, and you gots to love that. Les,
he goes hard in the paint.
just adds that extra flavor on our
airwaves...and you're on-air chemistry
with SUN... man you're always on time
with that!!... "that's right!!"
a maniac! He is pure and utter
EV'IL!!! Les is the demon seed of the
3 headed DAWG Cerebrus! Most of you
may think that he spent quite some time
in Holland as a nomad trying to find
his way. YEAH RIGHT!!! Les is the guy
that the character Goldmember was based
on. Yes, he was a pimp and a damn good
one too. The great unibrow once
explained to me that the skill had been
passed down from generation to
generation. Les jumped to it. He
embraced the skill like a fat man
trying to stay atop a bare back race
horse. Soon Les realised pimping just
wasn't his game. He got tired of women
having epileptic seizures after one
look at the mighty brow, so he returned
to Houston. You're a saint Les. Much
respect for showing me around whenever
I came to Holland............Les is a
true friend. This guy knows how to
have a good time without drinking, but
don't let him tell you he doesn't take
part in any other extracurricular
activities. Don't leave him with your
girl either. He has skillz. Les will
have his hands all up on the sugar bowl
while you're at the bar getting him a
sprite. That's my DAWG though. Les is
a Kat you can always count on, a true
friend.
You rememember that time on 6th street,
during SXSW 2001...you pulled out that
Sweet after our set with Philly's most
Wanted, we started smokin', the cops
snuck up on us, tackled me- even though
I was on crutches with a torn ACL,
they crumpled you down to the ground,
gave us tickets for drug parphenalia,
let us go, but made us take drug
counseling classes...and then they said
that they were going to smoke our sweet
on the way home????? ...oh wait, that
was jonas....damn, short term memory
loss.....
