What is there toShino is a complete man of mystery! There are only a few things about him in the manga. The first of these is that hes not much of a conversationalist. Seriously, he says close to nothing unless it's completely necessary. When Shino does talk, it's plain and simple. It's not because he's unintelligent either, far from it actually. Shino, like Shikamaru, is a rough diamond. He has a great perception of fighting tactics and he can gauge an opponents abilities and flaws quickly. He might not be up to the level Shikamaru is at, but hes not too far off.

Of all the techniques and Jutsu around, Shino has the most bizarre. He is a member of a clan, within the Hidden Leaf, that use Destruction Bugs as their primary weapon. These bugs eat chakra, and in a large enough group, they can completely overwhelm someone to the point where they cannot move. This odd technique can certainly cause the element of surprise, but thats not the only thing weird about Shino and his control over the bugs. These bugs actually live inside of Shino! Underneath his skin, the bugs feed off his chakra constantly. However, they don't just eat.

The bugs are contracted to Shino's body and must obey his commands whenever he calls upon them. This doesnt requite hand seals or even effusive names. Shino can think something and the bugs will do it. This makes Shino a great stealth fighter. Not only that, he can have the bugs do different things while he distracts the opponent with Taijustu. So, with such unusual aptitude, you certainly wouldn't see him coming. Let's be honest, who ever pays the creepy guys much attention?
