Advertise in 3 simple steps!

Step 1: Design Your Ad and select when it goes live



Name: Select a name for your ad – This is for your reference and helps if you have multiple designs.

Ad type: Choose between creating a text based ad and uploading an image. For more information about photo best practices, check out our FAQ.

Title: Give a title for your ad (up to 25 characters in length including spaces) and content for the body of your ad (up to 135 characters in length including spaces) in the space provided. As you are creating your ad, a preview of it will be shown to you.

URL: Means a website address - decide whether you want people to be directed to your own web page or something on Friendster like a Page, Application, Group or Event.

Flight Dates: Now simply decide when you would like your ad to start and finish – by clicking on the calendar icon or by typing in your dates.

Step 2: Pricing & Budget



Type: We offer a pay for impressions (CPM) or Cost Per Click (CPC) models. For CPM a single impression is when your DIY Ad appears on a Friendster page someone is viewing. CPM is one thousand impressions – the cost of showing your ad 1,000 times. If your ad is $5 CPM and your budget is $100, your ad will appear 20,000 times over the span of your campaign. Cost Per Click (CPC) is where you pay for each click of your ad. CPC advertising allows you to specify a certain amount that you are willing to pay each time a user actually clicks on your DIY ad up to your specified budget.

Budget: Simply enter the maximum amount you wish to pay for your advertising – you will never be billed more than the maximum CPM and budget that you specified. Note: When you save your ad you will be given options to ad money to your account.

Step 3: Target Audience:



Target Audience: Targeting allows you to specify where and who will see your DIY Ad - This powerful tool makes your advertising more effective by zeroing in on your target audience.

Country: Select the country where you wish your ad to be seen with options to target by state/province or city.

Age: Select the age group of your target audience

Gender/Marital Status: Select all options or target by gender and marital status if your product and service appeals to women or men married or single.

Category: You can even target by context Friendster has packaged its inventory into common areas of context where advertisers are free to select any number of packages

Now just save you ad and if need be you will be given an opportunity to ad money to your account.
