About Me:
Call me Ishmael. Some years ago--never mind how long precisely --having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me on shore, I thought I would sail about a little and see the watery part of the world. It is a way I have of driving off the spleen, and regulating the circulation. Whenever I find myself growing grim about the mouth; whenever it is a damp, drizzly November in my soul; whenever I find myself involuntarily pausing before coffin warehouses, and bringing up the rear of every funeral I meet; and especially whenever my hypos get such an upper hand of me, that it requires a strong moral principle to prevent me from deliberately stepping into the street, and methodically knocking people's hats off--then, I account it high time to get to sea as soon as I can.
This is my substitute for pistol and ball. With a philosophical flourish Cato throws himself upon his sword; I quietly take to the ship. There is nothing surprising in this. If they but knew it, almost all men in their degree, some time or other, cherish very nearly the same feelings towards the ocean with me.

Who I Want to Meet:
Kurt Vonnegut. Although I'd probably freeze up and get really shy if I did actually get to meet him. Maybe I could break the ice by getting him to talk a little about secular humanism.

punk rock picture up?
left berkeley and moved back to LA, and
annoyed w/myself for not taking more
advantage of her [presence] while she was
here. anyway, she's super-smart and very
funny and completely cute and has this great
voice that is just FUN to hear talking. hayley is
one of the people i hold as my ideals for how
women ought to be and how i would like to
be. did i mention that she is strong? in all
senses of the word. an inspiration.
so I can genuinely say that yes, she's
always been this cool. She is the
smartest and the funniest person I
know. Hayley loves life. I love her
open mind. She is spiritual - but in a
Neil-Young-blasting-from-car-on-an-
open-highway-in-the-summertime
kind of way. She still listens to
cassette tapes. When at a
crossroads, you would do best to
ask yourself, What Would Hayley Do?
She is my closest friend. I wouldn't
be me without her.
Axel Rose after the Gunners epic video
about rain, Hayley is the one to go to.
Comprehensive yet concise, I believe
this Axel-lore-meistress will be
getting a lot of press in the future.
Aside from that - she's a funny, whip
smart lady who can balance health
policy out nicely with poignant pop
culture references at any given beer
and chips social.
