I have a picture that sits on my desk
at work. When the day gets long, or
my clients get impatient, I
remember to take a moment and
look at the photo. It is a picture of
my best friends taken years ago. It
reminds me of the good times we
have shared and the support that
their friendship still gives me today.
Even though our lives have gone in
different directions, the bond we
created has kept us close. Rare is
the week that I dont get a message
on my answering machine from
one of them just checking in or a
letter in the mail with the latest baby
or vacation photos. Frequently I get
e-mail messages with a joke for
the day or words of comfort for
something going on in my life. My
friends have shown up for surprise
birthday parties, sent flowers for no
reason, and one of them even
drove five hours just to watch my
daughters first piano recital.
Our friendship has carried me
through a lot of difficult experiences,
and has enriched the good ones. It
is the kind of friendshi
even
if he doesnt quite mean it but the
sweetest thing
that he can say is I DONT LOVE YOU
but cries
inside.

something then there comes a moment
when you
stop wishing not because you got what
you
wanted but because you finally
accepted that not
all wishes can come true.
