“The game against the tournament novices PNPA, looked almost like a game of unopposed and although Juan Engelbrecht has done an admirable job in taking the Police recruits from absolute basics to being able to field a team in tournaments such as this, the consummate ease with which the Eagles sliced their defence open time and again, demonstrated that there is much work yet to be done.”
“In the final pool game MAAP 1st team overran PNPA winning 21-0 to book their place in the plate final."

Round 2 of the PRFU 7’s League saw the inclusion of two full Filipino teams with MAAP and PNPA sending both Men’s 7’s and ladies teams to train for the first ever National Ladies Rugby Team.

The teething problems that were encountered the previous round at Rizal were not a problem this week with the PRFU enforcing strict IRB rules and regulations especially in relation to the team areas and substitutions. The set up procedures ran smoothly this week and as a consequence PRFU Development Officers Juan Engelbrecht and Carlito “Ahlo” Abono were able to prepare a ladies tackle rugby team to play the Cebu Dragons at the S
