as that of Sakey's (my prefered choice
of name). I met him three summer ago,
in China of all places. I remember the
first time I laid my eyes on that dashing
smile and wanna bee Zoolander scowl.
He was in front of 15 young
impressionable Chinese girls, all eating
out of the palm of his hand, while he
ranted about the millions of sheep that
inhabit his native NZ. Its true that he
puts on a player facade, but behind it all
he's a gem (eventhough it is rumored
that he refers to girls as putas). For the
short time that I met him, he was always
willing to have a good time wether it be
with a bottle of ba jio (spelling?), or
some cheap ass wine. Although his
latin moves weren't so hot, by the way
he got down you knew he thought
himself a rockstar. He's also an
excellent improvisor of lyrics, specially
when it comes to serenading the
ladies. Girls, if you got him, hold on.
companion, my primary school
nemesis. I have known Brendon for well
over 20 years and will keep our
friendship until the day he dies in a mad
fireball explosion in his kitchen after yet
another illfated attempt to create the
perfect dumpling whilst inebriated and
prone to nap attacks. He comes in and
all shapes and sizes and various
incanations - Da Hai, the hippy, the
rocker, the dancing queen, the
Buddhist, the chef, the traveler... the
photographer... but what-ever he
happens to be it is always something
that makes you laugh and you always
know the real Brendon, generous, good
natured, and inspiring is lurking beneath
it all. A friend who is willing to drop
everything just to listen to one of your
dramatic stories or funny stories is
someone who truly appreciates the
meaning of the word friendship. But
remember don't look at his holiday
photos!!!!!!
and found him to be one of the most
unique individuals I've ever
encountered. All the Chinese girls
referred to him as the big ocean' and
would have group sessions to plot ways
to be able to swim in his waters. He's
been to just about every country on the
planet and his heart and mind seem to
have expanded with each.
Simultaneously genuine and caring,
he's probably the nicest guy I know... I'd
be willing to trust him with my sister. I
just wouldn't be able to trust her with
him, cause this guy attracts all the
chicks. He also calls me mate' all the
time, which leads me to believe he's
hitting on me.
