I recently tried to tackle my fear of microphones. I sang a Patsy Cline tune in front of a couple of friends and a half dozen geriatric semi-toothless redneck strangers at a place called the Crowe Bar. I must've done okay. I got two free beer coozies... or is it koozies?

Also, I was really flattered when a new friend asked me to join the Baton Rouge branch of the New Orleans roller girls recently. Sure, we had already had more booze than is advisable on a work night, or for that matter any night, and she's never seen how straight up retarded I am on roller skates but I felt all warm and fuzzy inside imagining the cool bruises and scars I could show off to my friends.
