Andi Bayou was born in Yogyakarta 20th of August 1971 is one of the best arranger, song writer , keyboardist and music producer Indonesia has today. He started his carrier in 1992 when his song ‘MAAFKAN’ was made popular by MUS MUJIONO. In 1994 he formed BAYOU, a pop rock band, which hit the Indonesia music industry with their famous track ‘HANYA DIRIMU’ that was composed by him. Other two albums were released in 1996 and 2000. Andi then became more popular for his capacity as an arranger, song writer and music producer when he produced AFI 1 MENUJU PUNCAK, a phenomenal album he carried out in only a two week time and was sold out more than 600.000 copies!
Indonesian living legend Iwan Fals brought him around to take part in IWAN FALS IN COLLABORATION WITH album which was also sold out more than 600.000 copies. Indonesia Super Group, SHEILA ON 7 was lucky enough to feel the touch of this cold-handed arranger when their first album was a major success in the market selling more than 1, 2 million copies. Dewi Sandra, Rio Febrian, Warna, Moluccas,Memes,Cindy,Cokelat and many more were also collaborated with him in making their albums.As a producer of MELANIE SUBONO,DREAMBAND 2005 & DREAMBAND 2006, a talent scouting program on TV 7, Andi Bayou once again proof his competency. In 2005 he released his first solo album called ANDI BAYOU PROJECT Persembahan Cinta featuring LUSY RAHMAWATY,UYA KUYA,VALENT and many more.
In 2006 Andy met his old friend from Flores IVAN NESTORMAN and the two agreed to realize their dream to make an album together which they call VIVO “lounge of love” featuring VONNY SUMLANG.
Besides becoming musician,Andi Bayou owner of original name Andi Haryo Setiawan is holding Master degree of law from University of Islam Indonesia in Yogyakarta,his father Prof.dr.Bambang Irawan,SpPD,KKV and his mother Prof.DR.drg.Pinandi Sri Pudyani,SU,they are a doctor and Professor in University of Gadjah Mada Yogyakarta,his younger sisters are dr.Diani Dyah Saraswati,dr.Vitayanti Anggraeni,dr.Vinayanti Susanti.
