I have a bunch of poetry books laying around my bed--Whitman, Paul Celan, Zbigniew Herbert, Dylan Thomas, Robert Kelly's "The Flowers of Unceasing Coincidence", Psalms of David, the Upanishads--I pick 'em up, read a poem out of each, and then put it back on the floor and pick up another book.
