About Me:
Myself. It all started when my umbilical cord was wrapped
around my neck in the womb...it's a miracle I was born
alive and everything in life has been a miracle since. I
was born a healthy baby on December 30th, 1979 right around
lunchtime (12:44 p.m.) It's all about the food right from
the start. I've been living in my birthplace of Downers
Grove ever since. Aside from the four years earning my
degree in the cornfields in the butthole of america and the
many times my wanderlust has overcome and I've carted
myself around this beautiful country. I studied
Anthropology with a focus on writing and biology and have
had a huge love of all three ever since. I am an observer
during the day and a participant until morning.
My family
is wonderful and has given me so many gifts (life,
learning, and chances) I am truly blessed by the Lord above
and definitely appreciate all that has been given to me.
I love to have a good time and if you need someone to go
out all night I'm the gal to call. I enjoy the company of
my close friends and family. I love to blast my music LOUD
and hurt my ears. I like to feel the wind rushing past my
head. It makes me feel alive. Laughing at nothing is one of
my specialties and I'll keep on doing it no matter how
crazy I look. I get antsy with jobs but I am a hard
dedicated worker (sometimes I wish I wasn't) I can't wait
to see every part of this big blue and green and brown
planet. I hope I can write it all down. Sometimes I wish
there was a camera recording everything that happens to me.
Every second so I can look back at it all. I would be the
only one to look back though (some shit you just don't want
anyone else to have access to) I can't wait to see what
happens next! Let's GO!

Mel. She is the definition of charisma.
There are so many things about her that
I admire. The girl can definately
write. (By the way Mel, have you been
writing lately?) I don't know how many
times one of us would just out of the
blue decide to do something completely
insane and the other would just go along
with it without a second thought. We've
invented cults together, explored boiler
rooms at 4am while hyped up on No-Doze,
had mudfights on the quad when we should
have been studying for finals, played
fabulous pranks on the boys who lived on
our floor (think crickets Mel), tortured
our poor roommate Natalie.. and ALWAYS
pulled all nighters. Now that I recall,
we didn't spend too much time drinking
together in college.. maybe because we
were naturally drunk to begin with.
I've never met someone who is so easily
amused, especially when people fall.
(She would have had a hayday if she
would have witnessed me the day I walked
into a tree.) We've been through a lot
in the past few years we've known each
other. She's definately influenced my
outlook on life and my sense of humor :)
i have had the pleasure & honor of
meeting this young gorgeous woman not to
long ago through her bestest friend
lauren at one of my afterhours earlier
this year, being all wild and turning
heads all night. i remember guys comin
up to me & asking "who the hell is that
girl dressed in white!?!?!" through the
few months that i have known her i can
honestly say that she is a true blue
great friend. it is refreshing to meet
someone so genuine & real w/ a great
outlook on life, she's funny, a lil'
crazy, a lil' FLIGHTY =), knows how to
have fun and is true to her word. and
even though we seem to dissagree about
mostly EVERYTHING...i still love her all
the same. melissa thanks for being a friend.
honorary member of my family,
associate nerd in all things dorky
that we seem to like, so on the same
wavelength it's uncanny, only
girlfriend up for absolutely anything,
fellow whisky drinkin, BBQ chicken
eatin, monkey lovin, lynyrd skynyrd
singin, home-movie makin, DISCO
groovin, catch phrase playin, all
night dancin, true soulmate for life!
I'm dyin without my Melissa! Even
though many things have kept us apart
over the years, the times we have
shared are the memories that I cherish
among the most important in my life.
No matter how far apart we are or for
how long we fall right back into synch
as if only apart for mere hours.
Whenever we're together there's an
amazing energy that is not only
stimulating and explosive but which
also generates a great sense of inner
peace. When you're lucky enough to
find friends like that there's no
better feeling in the world. Such a
strong, intelligent, honest, genuine,
and beautiful person like Melissa
deserves only the best in life.
Melissa, my dearest friend, "You've
got the best of my love!"
