of college when I helped him and some of
the other guys on his floor study for a
Western Civ exam. The conversation that
night was . . . enlightening.
Regardless, I've enjoyed getting to know
this guy better over the years.
Erick's taught me about the wonders of hog
farming, the city of Wayne, NE, and the
New Belgium Brewing Company. He's also
a very considerate houseguest and he has
a slightly odd affection for the cologne
aisle at Sephora.
Erick has also spent most of his time
since college working to re-elect my
former boss and for that, I'm very
grateful. It sucks to fight the good
fight and lose, but Erick's bouncing
back and because of that, I'm very
impressed.
