Favorite authors are Paul Monette, John Irving, Mary Sandoz and (of course) myself; I also read just about anything on the Civil War.

The Last Picture Show' and 'Stand By Me' are classics. So is anything with Eddie Murphy. More recently, 'Y Tu Mama Tambien.'

Rock, folk, classical, bluegrass -- anything except jazz (never got into it).

I barely know how to turn on my set, although I must admit that 'Queer Eye for the Gay Guy' is unexpectedly funny. You've got to love Carson Kressley.

Aries

I love my life. Soccer, writing and my involvement in the
gay community have allowed me see the world, and also meet
some of the most incredible people on the planet. Coaching
keeps me young; writing allows me to express myself and get
other people thinking; my GLBT stuff has enabled me to view
things from a nuanced perspective I might not otherwise
have as a dreaded white male. I get up every morning and
look forward to the enormous variety of all that I do, and
that is truly a blessing.

Mr. Right would be wonderful, but I'll settle for Mr. Able-
To-Breathe-Without-A-Respirator. I want someone who will
challenge my mind, touch my soul and make me laugh. Be
young (at least in heart). And I draw the line at
Republicans (who can't be young at heart anyway).
