carina is smart, beautiful, compassionate and
sensitive. we were rowmates for all of high
school, and she has always been mature. not
old-matronly mature, but she just always made
sense. even when she would go crazy, joking
around, and laughing her head off, she managed
not to look completely out of control. she has
lots of potential and is incredibly gifted and
creative. i am touched by her kindness and am
honored to be called her friend. i hope to know
