Man, I've been to hundreds of the Adventist Youth's websites on friendster, and let me tell you, it really touched me personally to see the awesome and strong faith of the followers of Christ. Young guys and girls, who personally, are not ashamed to say that they are followers of Christ, to show who they really love the most, I believe that is an awesome commitment, dedication, and pure love especially being a part of the Seventh-day Adventist youths.
At this moment, I would like to say my sympathy for I am deeply in sorrow for youths who have lost their families or friends in the war against terrorists, in the Asian tsunami, the 9/11 event in New York, the mudslides in Philippine, the Katrina hurricane, and other tragedies that have and are happening around the world.
Can anyone realize what time we are in? Youths, are you aware of the time our generation is living in right now? Thousands of lives have been taken away, millions of homes are being swept away, and billions of dollars are being spent for recovery. YOUNG PEOPLE, are you aware that we are in the end of time?
I am so glad to see those that are faithfully keeping their compass toward Jesus Christ, letting the small flame of their faith to shine bright to light the path.
Guys and girls, young people in Christ, are we still in love with the earthly things, in trying to see the best movies Hollywood may offer? Are we still getting our ears to hear the fast, hard music that just blow our heads with bass that skips our hearts and stimulates our minds? Filling our mind with unnecessary words and images? Participating in parties that are unnecessary for us to spend our time in?
Daily news shows young people killing another, young people use their own body to blow themselves in the name of Allah, young people duplicating their mind from the action in violent games by committing public shooting rampage, young people who have sex after getting drunk from a party like those on TV, young people that are being influenced by hardcore, rap words, which naturally sink in their mind and naturally creating an aggressive behavior in their daily life, young people who are overdosed by drugs to get high, young people who spends hundreds of dollars in making themselves beautiful, young people whom many, have forgotten about God.
Young people, isnt it time to give our worldly ways and follow Christ? Our last day may be tomorrow, or even the next coming seconds. A hurricane may be coming toward us, mudslide may be on the front door, flood may engulf us, blizzard may be coming down in any moment, twister, earthquakes and death is just knocking on our front door faster than we think. Yet, Jesus is patiently waiting for you to open up that hard steel door of your heart, so that He may be able to dwell in your heart. Are we ignoring Him from entering our heart? Jesus has died for you my friend. You and the rest of the world are predestined to be in Heaven with Him.
Young people, do we really love the world so much that we are willingly, wanting, to give up Jesus and his offer to live with him in Heaven? What is a bottle of Corona and yet weve lost Heaven. What is a moment in theater and lost the chance of being with God. What is a sexual desire when we have lost the chance to see Christ face to face? Jesus has died for the sins that we all have committed. Are we willing to accept Him as our Jesus Christ and as our only Savior? What is a small sin that we will commit and lost the chance of being in Heaven?
Can we, may we, WILL WE, willingly give that up for Christ? Give every sorrows and struggles that we may have to Christ. He willingly wants to accept our sins, our pains, our sorrows, and all of our troubles. He has never hated us. He has never wanted to destroy us. But the sins that we have done came with consequences and that consequences will take our life with it for the cause of sin is death. However, Jesus hated sin, and all of us without our sins are a precious jewel in the eyes of the Lord and that is the reason why He is DYING to accept each one of us. Will you accept Jesus before it is too late? Will YOU accept Him?
