back in touch with Rachel after becoming
good friends with her in High School back in
Chicago 10-plus years ago. She is one of
the three people who have had the
foresight to see what I could potentially do
as a careeer and her words have stuck by
me all of these years.
Looking past that gorgeous smile and you'll
find an overwhelmingly caring lady who's
passion for the arts and kids is pheneom!
Add to that the timeless beauty of Sharon
Tate with a singing voice that Beth Orton
and Harriet Wheeler would be jealous of
and you've got an absolute angel!!!!
Rachel. I immediately thought WOW --
here is a beautiful, confident woman
who's intelligent, outgoing, fun and
volunteers mass quantities of time to
youth. She keeps cool in a crisis and
looks great in glasses. She also taught
me the importance of moisturizer. It
was a great first impression that
really hasn't been altered...depending,
of course, on the crisis. :)
who knows that Rachel and I are
quite close and I quote....
"Please tell that Rachel girl that I do
not like being referred to as "Old
David Bowie".
He also told me to tell her that
there's some great stuff on Outside,
Earthling, Hours and Heathen and
that she should give it a chance.
serious exercise better than almost
anyone I can think of -- and that's
saying something. When she plans ahead,
the results are truly amazing. And when
applies herself, she can even arrive on
time. Much love to you, sister.
here...
Rachel is one of my very best friends.
Although, at times, very "complex", is
one of the most darling, dreamy,
daring, diverse, dynamic woman I have
ever met. If we ever end up living in
the same city, and you live there too,
I might consider leaving...we could be
a very lethal combination.
and wise.
She told me that she wasn't all sweetness
and light and that she would probably end
up in H.E. double hockey sticks with
yours truly. However, I believe there is
more than one Hell. I am of course, going
to the one where you are tortured by
having red hot pokers shoved up your ass
24/7 ...and Rachel will be going to the Hell
where the temperature is a nice 83 degrees
with an occasional breeze and you're
served mimosas pool- side by a cabana
boy named Enrique.
million years ago. she was 26 and i was
her camper at unitarian summer camp. i
have to say i've known since then that
she is one of the most amazing people on
earth. not only is she a great yoga
teacher, but always a great (corrupting)
influence, and she defintely tears up
the camp dance floor.
offer me food/wine, lend an ear, or
volunteer to lead yoga just when I
most need it!! Ever supportive and
radiating love - she's a superstar!
And watch out when she's on the
dance floor - HOT!
