most of the time i like to sit at my desk at work and "look busy": you know, picking the telephone up, putting it down again; slapping at my keyboard to make typing noises; drawing whirly-gigs on pink "important message" pads. then i go home and cook dinner and then i go to the gym. then, usually, i sneak across the street to the omonia cafe (where they baked the 'my big fat greek wedding' cake) and buy cake or pie. then i go to bed, getting ready for another "busy day" at work.

Dolly Parton and Tori Amos. Both at the same time. We'd have the craziest lunch ever. Dolly'd sit there eating her chitlins thinking about her smoky mountain home, listening to Tori talk about the native american mother earth spirit as she feels it through her feet when she walks barefoot in Cornwall, and I'd stare at Dolly, too excited to eat.
