be cats of a stripe, a couple of svelte
tigresses. But which is the decoy I don't
know. The one on the left is familiar from my
days in Santa Cruz. I met her in an improv
action-theater class and soon learned she
was a performance artist. I was aglow when
she asked me to be a tinman-turned-
windmill in one of her more vertiginous
pieces. Then came the after-party, which
morphed -- as they sometimes do -- into an
extension of the show itself, a sort of bizarre
photo shoot with slides of industrial detritus
being projected onto our naked bodies. If
you're up for the challenge, this one's well
worth getting to know. But take heed: she's
got head and heart. Plus a whole lotta
spark.
she smells like my cats. like a raw,
sensual, saliva smell. i'd probably
instictually bury my face in her fur and
feel her purring againt my lips.
What can I say? I'm glad I did. I *like* her.
She makes me feel good and calm when I
talk to her. I like what she does on stage.
Lopi is good people, and fun and interesting
and sexy. She's the girlfriend you need to
have.
she formed here, she's also been to
Burning Man several times where she
indulged in a creative orgy of dance,
performance, and mischief.
Lopi is a buzzing ball of energy, and
whether she is right next door or you
live on opposite coasts, I think you'll
find that few things are as impermanent
as her current location. She is a
restless soul, building community
around her wherever she goes.
I met her in our neighborhood SF Bay
region where she had formed several
creative ventures including an art &
performance collective called What Is
Art? It enjoyed a gloriously long run
in a town that does not support it's
arts all that well.
Get to know her and I think you'll be
pleasantly surprised. Not only with
who she is, but the creative mix of
people she attracts arround her.
Lopi is a strong, creative, and
intuitive person, who needs a strong
partner in crime to kick her ass when
she needs it.
