steph, brilliant rabble-rouser, takes the party with her. i'm glad to claim her as a fellow aries. she has a heart-o-gold, along with enough gumption to make a bit of fun wherever she is. steph makes grad school almost bearable.

Hey steph- remember that time that we
decided to dye our hair- mine purple
and yours blue? We thought something
was wrong, but the box said "color may
appear different in the process than it
will in the outcome." Damn, though, i
looked cool with blue hair, didn't I? :P
Here's to my junior year roomie- setting
two different alarms 5 minutes apart so
that we HAD to get up; fielding sketchy
phone calls; not laughing too hard when
i came home drunk and fell and
scraped my face on the wall while you
were studying; sleeping until dark on a
weekend and making fun of everyone
around us- trust me, we were
the "normal" people that year, and
that's fucking scary!
Steph has travelled the world, changed
her whole perspective on shit. She
listened to Modest Mouse before they
were cool and can sing a
mean "Cornflake Girl" in the shower.
How can I describe this beautiful
creature? Let me count the ways...
trickster, siren, story teller, heartbreaker,
underground "straight" scene finder,
aspiring academic, world traveller,
smurfette wannabe, coffee spiller, drag
queen spawn, hitch hiker, anti-
establishment rangerette, partner in
crime, left hip, confidante, friend... When
it comes to Steph, some part of you will
always be conflicted. Are you intrigued
by her or are you simply inspired by her
to check your boring ass self? What
can I say, she's got it all, and a bag of
tricks! ;-) Watch out! Much like a

I know about hitch-hiking. She's still
the best I've ever seen, somehow she
concentrates all of her sex appeal at
the tip of her thumb.
Everytime I run into her it somehow
ends up subversive- either an anarchist
street party in dublin, or a march with
angry Tibetans in Boston, or a vigil for
homosexual rights.
In a way I guess she's like a
superhero, fighting against injustice
wherever it is, in other ways she's a
bohemian, trouncing around the world
with wild abandon, and lastly she's
sweet like somebody's four year old
niece.
She can be a bit jealous however, she
always hated how smooth I could be
hitting on chicks at bars.
Speaking as someone who has lived with
Stephanie, I can definately testify. In
fact, I will testify. She is most
definately the shinzit...and I wouldn't
do anything to get her goat, cause she's
also quite the creative little
prankster. Many a night I slept with
one eye open, gripping my pillow tight.
