      • How is your Dad? Your blog on the trials and tribulations you and your sister went through in selecting the perfect retirement home for your beloved father was totally engrossing to read.

I envy you that you still have a father to love and care for no matter his condition. My personal experience in parental care left much to be desired! My father died in a convalescent home located somewhere in Seminole, Florida. He died alone in his small room, a sad and lonely man with no loved one in attendance. No one was there to see him expel his last breath, just four white, lifeless walls bearing witness to an unhappy life ending too soon and a dying person wishing with set determination for death to come quick and fast.

      • It puzzles me how little 'new' comments there are in your page. I have been seeing your blog entry "My Father's Keepers" but never actually read it and finally, I did. And worth every minute of my time reading it. I admire your words you put so simply yet so strong and I have to admire your strength for pulling yourself through. Keep that spirit up!

      • well..to repeat what others have said, requires education, to challenge it, requires brains. So what we see here depends mainly on what we look for.

      • in simple words that do not take much time to recall, and in techniques of writing which do not require Ph.Ds to master, you've recorded the abstract colors of your life in black words that lay against blue walls. I enjoy your entries.

      • Mmmm... despite leading a life dominated by the written word (amongst other more 'abstract' activities... :oP), I find it surprisingly rare to find contemporary writing worthy of thought.

        Thank you :o)

      • As an avid observer of human behavior
and social interaction, I have always
been fascinated by one's reaction when
faced with someone who defies the
        generally accepted stereotypes.

        From divine inspiration to hateful
        disdain, Christina's innate radiation
        manages to penetrate people's
        complacency, propelling those exposed
        to rise and take action.

After much observation I have found that
the best approach is to sit down, and
make oneself comfortable. In time, every
        layer she sheds enriches experience,
and perseverance shall be rewarded with
        the knowledge a beautiful individual,
capable of casting light on one's own
        ignored facets.

        Christina is the real deal.

      • They say the eyes are the windows
to the soul. For those perceptive enough
to see, this is true. For those individuals
who can see, the eyes are telling. They
        speak volumes. They can express
        warmth and kindness, anger and
        malevolence, sadness and remorse or
total emptiness. They can be your
        greatest weakness when they expose
your true emotions and intent while your
tongue continues to weave lies or your
greatest strength when words are simply
        not enough.
This has to be my favorite picture of
The Escape Artist as it reminds me of
one of my favorite actresses. The eyes
express a warmth in them, but still
        fiercely resolute. They speak of
gentleness, but also strength. While the
Artist is a gifted writer, she is also
talented in other areas as well. Some
        may call her an exhibitionist..and
theyd be right. Her exhibitions are
tasteful and artistic and when Im the
