I've always wondered whether I was cowardly or boring because I'm so conscientious and law-abiding. I've never liked to break rules, and the only thing I've ever shoplifted was a lemon from the display outside a grocery store. But I've recently come to rationalize my behavior as actually more subversive than mere rule-breaking. If I follow the rules to the letter, the powers that be can't pin anything on me. And I'll gain the necessary legitimacy to actually change the rules. That's the idea, anyway.

I want to meet people who know a lot more about something than I do. I don't know much about much, so that's not hard (though I talk a good game). I like people who like to talk a lot. If you can claim the title "world expert" about anything, I want to meet you.
