half-casters, like the bard, that see the most
changes in 3.5. This is a long time in coming
and I'm sure everyone appreciates it. Twenty
different 6th-level spells are now available to
choose from, which we all know kicks some
serious ass. In a general sense, the
half-casters have gained more direct
strength and damage boosting spells (bull's
strength, magic weapon, greater magic
weapon, keen edge) but have lost a wide
variety of different types of spells in return,
including some direct damage sonic spells
and some other boost type spells such as
rage and good hope. Wind wall and gust of
wind are gone, so Joel's dreams of a "wind"
themed bard are gone, if indeed he ever had
any. Hopefully he won't be slain by an elf.
He is kind to all of God's creatures.
Whether they are large are small,
mammalian or reptilian, Joel treats
them with the kindess and respect other
mortals might only save for their
favorite grandparent. In fact, Joel has
taken it upon himself to care for all
the stray cats in the greater Santa
Cruz area. He shares his home and his
heart with over 40 of these wayward
felines. Three cheers for Joel. Job
well done.
