getting lost, inappropriate laughter, reviving old terms, fads, dancing poorly (God--I wish I could salsa...it's so sexy!), Eyebeam, and kayaking (which isn't as gross in the Hudson River as it might seem!)

I've enjoyed so many and have the worst memory, but here are a few that make the 'hit list' Mother Night, Green Paradise Lost, My Year of Meats, Veiled Sentiments and ethnographies in general

I am a Food Network junkie...perhaps b/c I don't have proper cable (??)

I love to laugh...at inappropriate times.
I'm lucky...to be working in the artworld, AND able to eat, drink(!) and pay my rent.
I'm tolerant...I've almost forgiven the voters of this country for inflicting GW on us for another f*cking 4 years AND I can almost get through an entire staff meeting without rolling my eyes.
I think vacations are a essential...whether by oneself on a bizzare expedition to Roosevelt Island...OR someplace a little farther (where my sad spanish speaking skills are required and kayaking is possible).
I can be a be handful...When outraged, some might say that I'm out-spoken...as my face (mostly eyes!) tell it all.
i have strong opinions...Mint chip icecream should be green, salsa is sexy, lollipops are the perfect candy technology, telenovellas are hilarious, Arrested Development is brilliant, all Apple store employees are morons (especially bc they seem to think that a pair of dark-rimmed glasses somehow raises ones IQ), and the word chinos is just wrong.
I believe in process...Perhaps, this is because I need to trip and fall a few times before I get anything right, or bc most of the time the road to something is the best part, or...maybe because mistakes lead to lessons learned and wisdom, which is very sexy.
And, I'm a spaz. And...I have fun being a spaz...a smart spaz; deconstructing a movie or show one minute, on the floor the next. Some might call it a gift.

I'm looking for jokers as well as partners for adventures: to explore where ever we are...or...someplace new. I like kind, socially conscious people with a bit of a wicked side...when appropriate (and when isn't it??). Contemporary art and culture are important to me, and while I certainly don't NEED someone to go to openings with, they can certainly be a good time: getting drunk on free wine, attracting stares from the eternally pretentious...and having SOME type of lively 'course afterwards.
