rocked it! From *Mommy's Little
Monster* to *Somewhere Between
Heaven & Hell*, Melanie played such an
awesome set of Social Distortion tunes
(or *The Ballads of Social D*, as she
affectionately calls them). I can't wait for
her double-feature showing of *Another
State of Mind* with *Suburbia* at El
Rio's punk rock film festival.
Columbarium before, nor even having
heard of it for that matter, was, naturally,
very curious. We began by reading an
article about the caretaker Emmitt
Watson. Later, after examining many of
the restored Victorian wood and tile
details painted in blue and pink,
Melanie concurred with the author
Emmitt was doing a stellar job. As we
continued to walk amongst the various
ancillary rooms, Melanie was slow,
careful to not ignore anyone. She
meticulously examined each niche,
giving ample attention to each
photograph and letter. The score at the
end of the day stood: Melanie: 1,
Nihilists: 0.
