This Friendster thing seems to have legs, despite my early misgivings. Still, I have almost no use for it whatsoever. I could see it having some benefits if I were dating, but do people really make "friends" with this thing? I don't see how that would work. I think I might get kind of creeped out by a Friendster (who I don't already know from the "real" world) asking me out for coffee in a non-dating way.
The message board would have some use if you knew people were actually checking it. Maybe if the interface incuded a real-time IM aspect... then at least I would be motivated to check who's online. I don't know. Whatever. It's grey out today and I'm feeling negative.
Update: hey, there IS a live IM component now! Message me if you find me on friendster one of the 2 times a month I log in.
