rejoiced when Jerry Garcia exhaled his

Andy here won a chili cook-off
yesterday against formidable
competition -- including several
professional chefs. I was one of the
judges, but his winning was not the
result of preferential treatment,
since no judge knew which chili was
whose. What's more, some of the other
contestants were friends of mine as
well, and at least one of them has
favors coming from me. Since Andy's
not the type to ever gloat about
something like this himself, I thought
I would spread the word on his behalf,
since this is the type of information
that anyone looking at this profile
would want to have inform their
judgement of the man. And yes, his
parties are the stuff of legends, and
he actually will make it to your party
like a responsible friend (thereby
making your party more fun), and,
well, we all expect great things for
and from him. Of course, the bit about
his not ever gloating about something
like winning a chili competition was a
joke -- but a joke founded in
affection for the guy and his ways. I
mean, he's much more likely to gloat
about winning some chili competition
or something inane like that than he
is to gloat about something that
really matters -- like sleeping with
your girlfriend, say. Another joke!
more house parties, my invites to house
parties are down to 0 per year. I
can't hold it against him- I just like
the guy a ton anyway.
