Originally from Taiwan, I've since lived and studied in the US (San Jose, CA, and Dallas, TX), the Netherlands (Eindhoven), and Canada (Mississauga & Toronto). They are all very nice places, but I like Canada a bit better. Currently, I am a graduate student studying reproductive endocrinology at Northwestern University in Evanston/Chicago, USA. More specifically, I use biophysical methods to investigate the structure-function of hormone activin/inhibin with their receptor complexes. One of my favorite part of the day is when a few of us in the lab get together to talk science and exchange new ideas over coffee/diet-coke/beer/tea breaks. On weekends, I volunteer with the Tzu Chi Foundation, and in my spare time, I enjoy going for a stroll along the beautiful Lake Michigan. It's a lot of fun and it's a nice life. :-)
