      • About Me:

"The minute I heard my first love story I started looking for you, not knowing how blind that was. Lovers don't finally meet somewhere. They're in each other all along." (Rumi) Let's get this out of the way -- I haven't dated in four years, so I'm not exactly a "player." I've achieved and experienced a lot, but I'm very shy about meeting new people. Actually I'm a romantic and LOVE being in a relationship, but I'm not desperate. I'm not looking for my other half, or for someone to make up for what I'm not. I'm definitely not into the bar scene anymore, and frankly you can only wander around the produce aisle at Whole Foods for so long before the manager comes over and says something. Which is awkward every time it happens. I'm a native Californian -- grew up in the Bay Area and graduated from UC Irvine. I went to school in France, Italy, and Switzerland so... basically... I know how to eat and drink. And pronounce stuff. All other attitude comes from the Bay Area. And my godfather, Steve Jobs (I've never successfully dated a Windows user... I suppose there's a first time for everything, but.... no, I really don't think it would work). I love kids -- lightly sauteed in garlic and olive oil. Just kidding! I plan to have a couple some day. Oh and now that we're being honest, I totally lied about my age up there. I just turned 40. But when I see it in print it just doesn't look right. The number just seems absurdly high -- like when you get your bill at the Ivy. So I'm in denial, but honest about it. I'm insanely close to my family -- we're all crazy about each other, so I'd say family is probably the most important thing in my life. And Tivo and my dog and hummus. I'm trying to transition to a raw food/vegan lifestyle, but I'm not afraid of the occasional burger and dirty martini. I love my yoga, but I'm not going to go all preachy granola on you. Unless you want me to.

      • Who I Want to Meet:

Proportionate, yoga body; passionate; confident; lives his life from a spiritual path; self-reliant; outgoing; loves to cook and travel; happy; attractive; spontaneous; loving; generous; values family and kids; sexually monogamous, playful, and generous; sexy eyes and smile; talented at what he does; revered by colleagues; compassionate; makes time for self; constantly learning new things and improving himself; willing to stay and work through problems; low-maintenance; and most important, great sense of humor and wit. (Not all required, but since I've given up on true love I may as well be impossibly specific...)

      • Paul's lying about "Spray, delay, and
walk away" --he's much more the "let
go, let God" type. One of the few
people that could make me wet myself my
laughter... so now every time I see
Paul, I secretly check to be sure I'm
        wearing my Depends.
