astounding mid-nineties hair
acoutrement collection, we had a gum
cactus. Yeah, you read that right.
Each spine, if chosen, held a piece of
finished gum. Each wad ranged in
color, texture, scent, flavor, and
inevitable household-dirt-veil
thickness. What Sigrid didn't know
was that, sometimes, in a pinch, I'd
slink into the living room and pluck
off a piece that I thought was one of
the more recent arrivals, pop it inn
my mouth and chew the rats out of it.
No worries - more often than not I'd
put them back when I was finished. I
miss that Manhattankansas cactus,
especially since I know I will never
come close to enjoying a similar one
in Carbondaleillinois (or ever). That
cactus is the only thing on earth that
could ever make me miss xylitol and
it's gut-wrenching afterglow, oddly
enough...oh yeah, and my hair has
looked like shit since we parted.
She has a secret.
She loves motorcycles.
If she denies it, she's lying.
If she agrees, she is applying her
smarts to catch you in a trap of
reverse psychology.
Check her extra closet and you will
surely find some leather garments
saturated in patches from her many
trips to Sturgis as well as a few hot
dogs tied to strings, she kept as a
sentimental reminder of being
featured in Easyriders Magazine.
Keep the rubber side down Sigi!
