      • I'm in love with Adrienne; she's my heart's delight. For a second back in the day I used to call her "Pearl" because I thought she was raw and honest and cackly like Janis Joplin, but now i think she's more like... shit, no one. She's herself. And someday when people 'testify' for their friends and they want to communicate how amazing that person is they'll say "she puts me in the mind of a latter day Adrienne Brown" and those of us who know the REAL, ORIGINAL Adrienne will be like, "hell, naw. these younguns can't fake the funk." And that's Miz Brown: never faking the funk.

      • Adrienne. I have just bookmarked your blog on my favorites. I am waiting for another chance encounter with you, but I settle for lurking through youg blog at odd hours of the night. I always thought you were fucking spectacular when I met you, and now... well sometimes I crave for the Adrienne. You are my muse and I realize that you give me this calm sense of something. K, that was whack. But you are truly divine and I am delighted that everyday you give us a glimpse into YOU. With that said, enjoy your August journeys and by the time you come back, I should have gotten over myself enough to have made some real progress in my life. Thanx for being Adrienne! :O)
