(Right?) Donny and I often were found
in bed with my girlfriend playing with
bright pink two foot long--forget it, not
interesting at all. I'm glad we were able
to spend holocaust remembrance day
drinking cheap russian vodka in
celebration of your yom huledet. Are
you coming back to the holy land to play
some more?
burnout many in months since hes in israel,
living the life less traveled. i miss the hell
outof him, his insights, his taste in books,
music and conversation, dinner at Pasta
Amore buffet, and his unreliable planning. to
quote myself "he has the integrity of a
mountain lion, and the grace of a gazelle. he
often quotes descartes and voltaire for
young children. once, i saw him recycle. to
put it bluntly: a model american there never
was ere dan levin was placed on this earth."
yet, strangely, he left an indelible
impression. And now he's off in
Israel, having a good old time, and
making plans to visit the Pyramids
without me. But some day he'll make
his way back state-side, and when that
day comes, he will show up in my living
room, light up the hookah, plug in the
dial-up internet and watch the trailers
with me. I wait with baited breath...
