I respectfully submit that Ryan is quality from
top to bottom. She has the most striking eyes
and this bright, ready smile to go with them.
Once she showed me this cool old book with
maps in it, and I got lost in it because I like
such things. I remember she was a little
reticent to go on all about digs and grants and
living with people close to the land -- I guess
she thought I wouldn't be interested, but I was
-- how could one not be drawn in by this little
person putting off so much energy and smart-
person vigor? She could've been talking about
wood scraps, and I would've been gripped.
Also, she was always very stylish. Once I had
a chance to make a move on her, but I didn't,
and it's entirely my loss.
ryan is my sister; she is not my
friend. i only post here because there
is no sisterster.com. ryan is not an
artist. ryan is a CON-artist. our
mother says that maybe she is an
artist, that she is developing her
talents. i knew her game. yes, her
game is up. i tried to freeze her in a
small apartment in the tuscan hillside
but she was rather resilient and was
able to escape. i do, however, agree
that she looks like a crocodile about
to eat a bird (maybe it's a symbiotic
relationship but if that crocodile is
ryan than i know that even if the small
bird thinks the relationship is
symbiotic ryanne will turn on it and
eat it with no remorse)(she will cough
some feathers out of her mouth and not
even try to feign class or manners). i
wonder, though. i certainly wonder.
once i called ryan tish. occasionally
she still refers to herself as tish.
she's disturbed.
ryan and i rolled around in the grass at duke
gardens when she was, as she puts it, a "sweet
sixteen," and i was a devious senior in high
school. she was a great rolling companion.
it's funny, nobody seems to flirt like that in the
"real world," at least not without harassment
lawsuits in one direction or the other. (ryan's
lucky: i don't consider myself THAT litigious.)
The correct term, I believe, is "hoyal
rianneoceros," although a close
ipsilateral look at her digastric,
masseter, and trapezius muscles shows a
level of strength previously unrecorded
in her kind. Do not gaze too long into
her eyes, it could cost you a limb. Oh
those whites, those pearly whites.

Ryan is one of those friends that I can
go without talking to for months and
then have the greatest conversations
with her when we actually do get to
catch up with each other. I love her
because she's spontaneous and a little
crazy. ;)
