I grew up near Detroit in the 70s and 80s and managed to not notice the beginnings of techno. Then I went and got a bunch of degrees in music and managed to miss the development of techno.
Now, I'm finished with my doctoral dissertation and I think I'm just starting to get it.
A few years ago, I started to really focus on making my own electronic music, and the good folks at Kanzleramt liked some of it enough to release it.
I lived in Berlin for a while, making music and music software. Now I'm in NYC trying to figure out what's next.
