Here are clips of the amazing japanese artist, Shinji (Horizakura), who is doing my full back tattoo. I am so honored. I already have the outline (sujibori) done, and in august he will be doing all the shading by hand in the tebori method. Incredible stuff!
Who I Want to Meet:
Bansky. And Paul Newman. And the young Paul Newman. Aesop again. Speaking of . . .
hey thanks!!!
I am very excited...
And it is awesome to hear that your parents are moving up here. Definitely let me know when you are around, I would love to catch up! I hope that life continues to treat you well in the meantime.
It's kind of hard to say anything both real and new about Robyn. Not because she's not real and new (you have NO idea), but because so many people want to say things about her.
I first met Robyn in 1997, and she's still one of the most beautiful people I've ever seen.
She also has more fun than most people in the world. And has no qualms deciding to do something completely outside of her experience just because she wants to.
I keep hoping maybe I'll run into her in the streets of NYC or Boston. Since it hasn't happened in Boston yet, I'm thinking maybe I better spend more time in New York.
There is a girl who goes to my gym who
looks exactly, but *exactly* like Robyn.
Every time I see her I prepare to take a
flying leap off the elliptical machine and
attack her with kisses, but then my
vision clears and I realize that I wouldn't
be kissing Robyn, but rather a complete
stranger. Which, when you think about
it, really doesn't sound so bad.
when i used to see robyn in the poolhall, i
thought she looked like some kind of
otherwordly gorgeous magician with her
pretty black poolcue like an extra-long
wand. i miss her.
Ahhh... what to say about Robyn....
there are just so many things to say I
feel like I may not be able to express
them all in this character-limited
testimonial... but I'm going to give it
a whirl: She has the most beautiful
skin I have ever seen. It's as though
she was just born! She is the only
person I know whose speaking voice
might possibly be louder than my own (I
now begin to understand why in the past
friends and family have often looked
around to see who can hear our
conversation!) as well as the only
person I know who can easily steal away
the limelight others so eagerly seek!
She'll take care of you when you're
sick, and comfort you when you're sad,
and she'll even refrain from
embarrassing you about events you would
rather forget (three words - harvard
law school). She does an amazing
karaoke impression of Gwen Stefani -
and I truly believe that one day she
will be famous! I can't wait til we
share the stage of SNL!
anyhow, I hope everything's going well for you - Portland and I both miss you.

And how come she never comes back to Portland anymore?
And how the heck is she doing, anyway?
